Keeping Kids Active: Kick Ball

A friendly game of family kick ball is a hit with kids young and old.  Neighborhood kick ball tournaments take a bit more effort, but are a great way to get a whole neighborhood of kids active.  School playgrounds are perfect for this kind of tournament.  Just pick a date and time and send an email to your neighbors.  Bring a ball and bases and form teams the day of the tournament.  Rotate teams so each team gets to play two or three games.  Do you have memories of kick ball games?  Or, do you have other great ideas for keeping kids active?  Share your thoughts in the comments below.
