  In my opinion, one of the best things an activity provider can offer (besides a full coffee bar on-site) is a free trial class! As the mother of two little girls who inherited my indecisiveness, I find it difficult to gauge interest and appropriateness of a class without having a first-hand go at it.
  
  Plus, classes aren’t cheap. I want as little risk as possible and I don’t want to lose money on a class my kids are going to want to quit after two weeks. Of course I could take advantage of the opportunity to teach them a lesson about not quitting, but I’d rather avoid that!
  
  I think that most parents of toddlers and elementary school age children can relate. Fortunately, it seems that several activity providers understand our logic and do host free trial classes to help make our decision a little easier. There are several types of activity providers that are more inclined to offer free classes for kids: music, art, gymnastics, martial arts, and soccer.
  
  Here are just a few examples: Kindermusik, KidzArt, Gymboree, The Little Gym, Lil Kickers, and Stroller Strides.
  
  In some cases free trial information isn’t published on a provider’s website or actively promoted, so don’t hesitate to call.  Some providers will arrange them by request. It’s a simple case of ask and you shall receive. If only all things parenting related were that simple!

    Amy - Thanks for sharing this. As a business we often wonder if offering free trials sends a positive message or a negative one. Glad to hear you support it. Another thing Kindermusik does in some locations (ours included) is offers play dates so it's a low investment of time and money ($15 in our case for one play date)to get a sense of the program.
