  • Description - Camp Fish Tales

The goal of Camp Fish Tales is to promote an atmosphere for the physically challenged individual to meet and make new friends while participating in group growth activities. In many cases campers will learn to deal with own emotional and physical limitations. Organized team games, like scavenger hunts or modified hockey and bucketball games are a wonderful opportunity for campers to work and play together. We offer other activities such as arts and crafts (we now offer pottery, thanks to a grant from the youth initiative fund), archery, paint ball target practice, bowling, swimming, boating, fishing, and trail exploring. Camp Fish Tales strives to be able to accommodate any disability. Some common disabilities that we accept include: Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Down's syndrome, Huntington's disease, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Aspergers/Autism, TMI, Multiple Sclerosis, Arthrogryposis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Epilepsy, vision and hearing impaired, Chromosomal disorders, diabetes, mentally, emotionally and cognitively impaired. This camp is available to children ages 6 and over.
