At The Conservatory we train actors. And then we nurture them. The Conservatory has been successfully training actors since 1975 for careers in theatre, television and film. As Washington, DC's accredited, professional actor training studio, our programs provide individual attention, small class settings and a faculty composed of leading artists from Washington, DC, & New York. Conservatory graduates enjoy continuous business and consulting support including audition preparation, contracts, business planning, market relocation, unions, and much more. Students leave the school not only with a strong foundation in the craft, the business saavy to be successful in today's ultra-competitive market, but also a network of professionals who are always here to help them succeed! Our Advice for becoming an Actor. In order to be competitive in the market, an aspiring actor MUST train in the dramatic arts. But when choosing an acting program, make sure that whatever school you choose has curricular oversight, a verifiable record of achievement, and be sure the reasons for that achievement make sense to you. You know as well as we do that no-one can guarantee that you'll make it as an actor. But what we can guartantee is that our Conservatory program is designed to prepare you for a career as a professional actor. Here's a fact you may find compelling in our last annual report to our accrediting commission our record showed that over 95% of our graduates go on to paying jobs as actors within 6 months of graduation.
