LEARNING AN INSTRUMENT is like learning a language: it takes patience and practice to become fluent. Mr. Leitch knows that everybody has special musical tastes and ways of learning. He tailors the lessons to your needs, your skill level, your preferences and your goals. Some students prefer classical music, others jazz or new-age, pop or rock. Several of his younger students play special arrangements of current songs that are available nowhere else. PIANO AND THEORY LESSONS can teach you technique, repertory, reading and writing, playing by ear, arranging and composing. You need to practice every day to make good progress. Mr. Leitch can show you how to do this for the best and quickest results. Students normally take one lesson per week. Beginners usually take half-hour lessons; longer lessons are usually better for advanced students and adults.
